Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) is a hardy shrub belonging to the Elaeagnaceae (Oleaster) family.
Seabuckthorn is a small, bright orange berry that grows wild in the cold desert of Ladakh. Surviving strong winds, high altitude, and extreme temperatures, the plant produces a fruit known for its intense flavour and exceptional natural nutrition & have been used in traditional medicine for centuries.
Unlike most fruits, seabuckthorn naturally contains a rare combination of omega 3, 6, 7, and 9 fatty acids, along with high levels of vitamin C, antioxidants, and essential minerals. Because of this unique profile, it has long been valued in Himalayan regions as a powerful and nourishing fruit.
